How do travel agents and airlines work together on a daily basis?
Despite the increasing digitalization of the travel distribution world, collaboration between travel agents and airlines remains essential to maintain the link and better train travel agents. DIGITRIPS Pro regularly organizes training workshops between travel agents and the Group’s partner airlines, to contribute to better training of travel agents and smoother transmission of information between the various players in the sector.
What are the new airline routes? What are the specific advantages of Premier cabins? Or information on in-flight WiFi and airport hubs? These are just some of the topics discussed at the DIGITRIPS Pro workshops for travel professionals, in a friendly, educational setting.

Air Europa meets travel agents
An airline with its ear to the ground
For this first workshop on the DIGITRIPS premises in Paris, Air Europa, a long-standing partner of the Group, lent itself to the exercise. The workshop concept? An evening dedicated to the new features of the DIGITRIPS Pro platform for travel agents and those of Air Europa, followed by an aperitif for travel agents and an interactive quiz.
For Air Europa’s representatives, Vincent Verdonck, Sales and Marketing Director France, and Noemi Belarif, Key Account Manager, the workshop was an opportunity to share a special moment with travel agents, not only to present the airline’s offers and new products, but also to gain a better understanding of the realities on the ground, customer expectations and the operational constraints of travel agencies.
As Vincent Verdonck explains, the company has historically been very committed to B2B:
“The vast majority of our business is dedicated to B2B: agency networks, consolidators, tour operators, TMCs (Travel Management Companies). It’s this whole ecosystem that brings travel distribution to life, and DIGITRIPS Pro is a major player in the sector. “
These direct exchanges are also an opportunity for the company to adapt its offers and support for travel agents.

Focus on the Air Europa offer and network
The training workshop provided an in-depth look at the Air Europa offer: destination network, product positioning, services offered to agencies and commercial advantages for travel agents. These are all essential elements to enable travel agents to better advise their customers, and to leverage the company’s advantages in their sales.
Among the new Air Europa products that agents were able to discover:
- The launch of a new route from Geneva from June 2026, offering a strategic alternative for customers in the Rhône-Alpes region and border areas,
- Or the opening of Johannesburg, a new long-haul destination, which strengthens the airline’s African network and opens up a host of possibilities for both leisure and business travel.
All these elements enable travel agents to anticipate their sales, to better guide their customers and to have concrete arguments at the time of booking.

Highlights of the DIGITRIPS Pro x Air Europa training workshop
The three-part training workshop began with an overview of the DIGITRIPS Probooking tool for travel agents (formerly Misterfly Pro) and its main features, designed to make the day-to-day work of tourism professionals easier.
After the training session dedicated to Air Europa’s new products, the workshop ended with a cocktail reception and an interactive quiz for agents, giving one of them the chance to win Air Europa tickets.
The winning travel agent in the quiz, Céline C. from an independent Parisian agency, Selectour, emphasized the value of this type of event:
“It’s very interesting to have both a refresher on the DIGITRIPS Pro travel agent platform, on all its features, and to get to know Air Europa better. For our job as travel agents, this kind of training workshop allows us to be more efficient and sell better.”
The training workshop also covered DIGITRIPS Pro’s flagship features, such as Dynamic Package and Best Price Tracker for dry accommodation, which meet agents’ highly operational needs in terms of efficiency and profitability.
Travel agent training and customer relations at the heart of the matter
For Céline C., a Selectour independent travel agent, relationship building remains at the heart of the travel agent’s business, despite the digitalization of the sector and the acceleration ofAI in the tourism industry.
“I don’t use AI. For me, relationships are much more important than a computer. That’s also why I like to take part in this kind of workshop, where I learn and also meet other tourism professionals.”
A DIGITRIPS Pro user for a year following her professional retraining, she explains that she has gradually centralized her flight bookings on the DIGITRIPS Pro platform, while retaining the flexibility adapted to her business travel activity on the other travel products offered by the platform.
A return to the field that clearly illustrates the challenge of these meetings in the age of AI in the tourism sector: combining high-performance tools with a relationship of trust, between agents and airlines.
DIGITRIPS Pro, a platform designed for travel agents
A key role in travel distribution
At the heart of travel distribution, DIGITRIPS acts as an intermediary between travel suppliers and distributors. Through its DIGITRIPS Pro platform, the group offers travel agents a wide range of travel products (over 500 flight partners, more than 1.2 million accommodations and 70 car rental companies), to make their day-to-day work easier.
For Air Europa, a long-standing partner of DIGITRIPS, the collaboration on this training workshop was an obvious choice. As Vincent Verdonck, Sales and Marketing Director for France, points out:
“With DIGITRIPS and the DIGITRIPS Pro platform, we have a long history and strong links. Communication with the teams is regular, and the collaboration is based on a real understanding of travel agencies’ needs.”
Training workshops for travel agents
These training workshops follow the same logic as DIGITRIPS Pro: supporting travel agents, simplifying their day-to-day sales by giving them the right tools, but also by giving them privileged access to its long-standing partners, both destinations and airlines.
Cookery workshops with LATAM and Lufthansa were also organized in 2025, with the same objective: to train travel agents in tools and new travel products, in a convivial and privileged setting with our partners.
An essential training workshop in travel distribution
This DIGITRIPS Pro x Air Europa training workshop for travel agents illustrates the group’s commitment to tourism professionals. The travel distribution sector relies not only on technology, but also, and above all, on exchanges and practical experience.
Against the backdrop of a complex and demanding 2026 environment, these professional meetings are an opportunity to forge closer links between players, gain a better understanding of each other’s challenges and continue to move forward collectively.
